Mission Statement
At the Black Men’s Knowledge and Solidarity Network (BMKSN), we are committed to building solidarity, engaging, and collaborating with African, Caribbean, and Black Canadian (ACB) scholars, men, service organizations, community leaders and community-based organizations. We intend to do this by creating a space to document the experiences of ACB men in Windsor, as well as provide support and solidarity to the ACB community by empowering ACB men with employment and networking opportunities, knowledge resources and so on.
Vision Statement
This BMKSN intends to create a unified ACB community in Windsor, where African, Caribbean, and Black Canadian men can come together in solidarity to network and have access to information that will enable economic empowerment, health promotion and resilience building. The aim is a society where ACB men can bypass structural racial barriers, or where such barriers do not exist.
- The vision of this are as follows: To create a society where ACB men can be empowered enough to bypass existing structural barriers against them.
- To create a unified ACB community in Windsor where African, Caribbean, and Black Canadian
men can comfortably come together to interact and share ideas. - To create an online space where ACB men can access information on resources for their resilience building, health promotion and economic empowerment.
